๐Ÿ’ฃShip Battles

What is a pirate's life without a fight?

When a rival pirate is in your visibility range ๐Ÿ‘€, you will have the option to attack or pass them by.

Deckhands can only fight with Deckhands. They also get a 60% deduction from the CPR they win. That deduction is circulated back into the game.

Soldiers, Officers, and Captains can fight amongst each other. There are no limitations or deductions.

Note, if the person is AFK, he can still be attacked. Therefore, pirates will be responsible for hiding their ships in the harbors if they do not want to be attacked while AFK (Further down the line, we plan to add automated battle response if you are AFK).

There are only 2 scenarios when the enemy can not attack you:

  1. If you are in the Harbor

  2. If you are mining

At this time, the battles can go up to 5v5. This also includes battles such as 1v4, 2v5, etc.

The instrument and information panels

On the bottom left, you will find your health bar damage and damage resistance stats. You can also flee the battle on the 1st turn with Rum Barrel or on the 2nd turn if you have a Negotiator NFT.

At the bottom of the screen, you will see your attacking and defensive options. These options are based on the NFTs you own. Note some options are not available in the first 3 turns.

On the bottom right side of the screen, you can check the battle log and see a detailed breakdown of the battle.

On the top of the screen is the turn timer. Each player has 20 seconds to make a move. You can also skip your move if needed.

The Fight

Battles are turn-based and require strategic planning.

No cannons or special battles NFTs are required to participate in a battle. Nevertheless, the only thing you will do without these is just take part in a battle, and there is almost no chance of winning.

Each pirate has to select an enemy ship to attack and then choose the ability they want to use from the bottom of the screen (note, you have to equip special battle assets in the harbor before to have them available in a battle).

The Aftermath

In each battle, there is a winning side and a losing side.

Consequences for the Winning side:

  • The winner takes โ…“ of the CPR from the losing pirates game balance.

  • If the winner takes damage in battle, only 15% of health will regenerate.

Consequences for the Losing side:

  • You lose 1 life and โ…“ of your game balance CPR.

  • You are transferred to the nearest Harbor. Your health is restored to 100% after the battle (if you have lives left)

If you lose 3 battles - you will lose 3 lives. When that occurs, you will be transferred to the nearest harbor. There you will have to add CPR tokens to the game balance.

Later on, we will provide a detailed breakdown of damage formulas.
